They are very reliable and good conductors.

But they should never be used with computer controled engines.

The radio frequency emissions they throw off will play havoc with the computers.

Magnacore is a very good wire, sprial wound metal core is the best approach that I have seen.

Most of the big name wires are junky and sold on hype. Split Fire dual core wires are among the dumbest things I have every seen sold for a car.

The very low resistance wires are of little benift, since the high voltage that is being put out will conduct easily through a high resistance.

Some of the wires use low resistance to cover the fact that they use very cheap construction.

Search under magnacore and look that their site, they explain this very well.

Magna core is 100% silcone insulation, no layers of cheap materials, just solid rubber from the center to the jacket. I have their 8.5mm lasted 7 years so far including one year with headers and stock wire routing.
