Smoke when start up

My car will smoak now and then when I start it up what is this

well if its bright white i would be nervous and if you smell coolant

It is white and it dose not do it all the time. I don't think I smell coolant. Oh and what is m6 how do I know if my car is m6 or a4.

I may just be moisture. If it is blueish it may be your valve seals.

M6 = T56 6-speed manual transmission
A4 = 4L60 4-speed automatic transmission (4L60 is 93 only. All others use the 4L60E)

Does it produce a bit of white smoke when it first starts up, on a very cold day? But not any visible smoke on a warmer day? That would be normal. Burning gasoline produces water and carbon dioxide. The water vapor becomes visible on a cold day. But it should disappear rapidly as the engine/exhaust warms up.,
