What year is your car? Are you using an OBD-I or OBD-II setup?

Not all years are the same.

it is just really a preferance, I mean you don't really need it, theres no performance gain nor loss from removing it, I don't have to worry about emmissions so I removed mine (i have OBDII so you just have to get in the pcm and cancel out some things to get the SES light to shut off), I removed it because it made the engine compartment a little neater, plus I got some non emissions friendly LT's...what kind of LT's do you have?

I bought a set of FLP's about a year ago... I blew up the motor a few months ago so I just started rebuilding it last month... You know how it is you gotta save money first then start the project... I just wanted to know if I really needed to put the smog pump back on... I not worried about emissions I dont have them in the county I live in...

With OBD-I you can totally remove the AIR system. Simply unplug the harness connector from the pump, and make sure the fuse in the circuit is good. As long as the fuse is OK you will not get an SES light or a code.
