Smog help HC emissions too high at idle
Having all the numbers would help
Hc=
Co2=
Co=
O2=
Is the car sitting in the parking lot a long time before he pulls it in? If a car sits for 20min before the tech pulls it in then that could be the problem. Is yer smog test down there the (tsi) or (dyno)? There are a lot of variables when testing cars. So the more info the better.

Dueno,
Did u ever find the problem??
I am having trouble passing smog test now. It passed with flying colors 4 years ago with the exact same setup i have now, there are no codes, but it seems like a small misfire at lower rpms. I do have the delteq, I don't know if its related to that or not.
NEWS: They are now lowering the limits for HC much lower in CA. Smog guy said the state of CA is trying to get rid of the older cars. He really didn't want to smog my car with the FLP headers, I had to twist his arm to smog it. What a bunch of [EDIT] BS, the older the car gets, the higher those limits should go, not lower.
