is it at all possible to pass the sniffer with a cc 306?

 

If it is, I would like to know as well.

 

I've heard of it done before but I highly doubt it would, even the XE236/242 would have a much better chance in passing since its got nice fast ramp up lobes which prevents loss of compression, the cc306 is a real soft ramp up cam which at low rpm's will pass all sorts of gas through the overlap & have lots of reversion.

 

i pass with mine everytime. All you need is a good tune and some alcohol. You will pass with flying colors.

 

What state? Keep in mind, each state has its different requirements. Sometimes varying county to county.

My bone stock '95 barely passed on the rollers....

If your state does OBD2 plug-in testing (instead of a sniffer) and you have a 96-97, then you can probably get away with it with a good program that says everything is A-OK to the computer

I have onl heard of one guy passing the roller witht he 306 and he put on two factory cats.

I barely passes in AZ on the roller test with my hot cam and that was using alcohol but a high flow cat

 

I am hoping to pass AZ emissions with it next October. I know SnkSknr94 passed easy with the 305 after having it tuned for emissions.

i live in reno nv. have you guys ever heard of toluene, some guy told me if you put an quart of that in 5 gallons it will pass the sniffer every time. he also told me he used to make race gas with it 1 gallon to 4 gallons gas and a cap of tranny fluid

 

Yes each state has different alcohol...which kind did you offer him?

 

I passed with methenol on rollers in Illinois. Its OBD1 1995 I passed with a piece of junk high flow catco. I only had one cat. I barly passed but i did pass and that was all I cared about.

 

what are rollers? when i smoged my car they just stuck the sniffer in and hooked to a plucg wire

 

I am pretty sure aaron failed 3 or 4 times before he passed. Hell it took me 3 tries to pass when i was basically stock.

 

Yeah, Aaron did fail a few times, but those were on his performance tune, and trying that gaurenteed to pass crap. When he used the emissions tune it passed easily the first time. So I am hoping to get lucky and barely pass
