Is SLP's site the only place you can order a polished intake? I checked out LS1 Speed's site - they didn't have a polished option.

Slp doesn't sell the polished one. The polished one is identical to the slp cai but you can only get it through gm performance parts. It is like 150 bucks more also. I am just going to strip the black coating off of my slp and polish it myself.

SLP was doing a sale when I bought mine last month 20 bucks off made it around 179 I think. Warning -- if you are hoping to get it soon, dont go through SLP. I think I got mine 19-21 days after I ordered it -- unacceptable if you ask me.

Thats not as bad IMO. I ordered my CAI specifically to be in my hands by October 16th last year for a big outing to the drag strip with about 10 friends all bringing their cars. After about 4 calls to SLP, it finally arrived......on October 17th. A day late and I ordered it 6 weeks prior. That tought me never to order from them directly if I wanted my part in a timely fashion.
