Slow starting please help

I am new to this board as I just got my car. Its a 93 z28 with the m6. 63000 miles. This is what is happing with it. When I turn it over to start sometimes it turns and turns b4 it starts and other times it turns over 2 times then starts with a metal clunking sound. Could anyone tell me if they had any problems like this or by chance help me out. Any input would be great thanks

Dunno about the clunking sound but a corroded coil wire will cause it to take longer to start. That happened on my car. It's easy to get to: take off the intake piping from the MAF, then under there you will see the coil mounted on the drivers side head. The wire is only a foot long or so and goes down to the opti.
