Single plane with a 4150 tb and carb hat.

Is anyone running a single plane with 1 4150 throttle body and a carb hat under a stock/SS hood? I have no way of measuring before I take the motor out to see if things will fit.

i was wondering the same a while back. i had done some measurements but nothing too exact. i was gonna try to get the carb to where it would be in the scoop, strip everything out and at the track it would be sticking right where the air comes in. i believe the carb may fit but you may have to use a smaller or thinner air cleaner

It looks like an edelbrock vic jr efi with a 4150 style tb will fit with either the low profile procharger hat or with an extreme velocity carb hat with slight cutting of the cowl. The holley in stock form is too tall for either, but if I can get away with milling about an inch off the top of the holley, then there might be a chance. I measured with the hood off just to see if they would fit under the cowl.
