simple headers question.

will third headers off of a 350 in a third gen work on an LT1?? found out my dad had a blown up third gen sitting around with LT headers lol. obviously emisions wont go on it but i can have the 02s welded in and use extensions right? and if they will work as far as bolting up to the heads.. will they clear all right with everything else? (was going to get some headers in a cpl months anyway but if these will work ill be fine with them till the rebuild )

Re: simple headers question.

im pretty sure they have the same "D" shaped port. but your def going to have clearance issues. headers are a PITA to begin w/ so do it once and do it right. dont half ***

Re: simple headers question.

anyone else know about the clearance issues? such as what would it be likely to hit on? the manifold is really getting on my nerves now because i have the infamous broken weld on the driver side heat shield grrr

Re: simple headers question.

If it would fit I'm sure hooker headers for example wouldn't carry a different part for each generation.
