Question Silicone on Water Pump Bolts?

Should I use silicone on the 6 water pump bolts?
When I took them off it looked like they had some on there.

Thanks
Oliver

You should be using thread sealer.

Re: Silicone on Water Pump Bolts?

The RTV silicone was probably used as a thread sealer and works acceptably. Use it or a good thread sealer.

Ditto. I would try to avoid the RTV, so you don't get any chunks of it in your cooling system.
