Signs of a collapsed lifter or loose rocker?

ok well ive been hearing this ticking noise when i start up, and when i rev up to about 1500-2k rpms!!

it goes TICk, TICK, TICK....TICK.........TICK................TICK!!

well when i rev it up it gets a bit louder...and ive noticed the sound comes from under the car on the passenger side, but is louder underneath than on top...

form what i might know, i could have a loose rocker that jsut needs tighten...its not hitting the valve cover, but making a tick noise!!

what could this be and how bad could a collapsed lifter cause?

please help asap

thanks

Randy

Could also be a broken spring. Pop off the valve covers and take a look, inspect everything very closely.

A lot of the time that noise is an exhaust leak, if a lifter is broke it will be more of a clanking sound probably, see if you can feal around the manifold or header fo an exhaust leak.

well checked out everything is good so far....,maybe im just gettng paranoid, cause my vavletrain was also kinda noisy and a lil bit ticky, but maybe its time for new headers...because my driver side got a hole in it, and now im thinkin the passenger will be there as well!!
