what strength locktight should I use on header bolts

no dont use loc tight on the headers. the heads are aluminum and it will be next to imposable to get the bolts out.

just tighten them good and run the car through a few heat cycles and check/retighten them. after 1-2 checks they will be good to go

you won't be a happy camper when the exhaust gaskets blow if you locktite them. If you have problems with them backing out. Check out thunder racing they have those special bolts with some device that slips over them to prevent that.

I've done LT1 headers 3 times never had the bolts back out and never retightened after the initial install. Just crank em down good the first time and be done with it.

I use 1" ARPs with a dab of antisieze and have never had any problem in 5 years with my Camaro's header bolts or gasket leaks.

Thats what I got the 1" arps I guess I'll just slap them in then.

I used ARP bolts, no problems. Didn't even re-tighten them.
