should i install new rings?

I pulled the motor out of my car to install heads and cam, I am planning on installing new bearings but i dont know if i need rings. The engine has seen synthetic and has 20k on it there is still a lot of cross hatch and i hooked the cylinders up to air and there was hardly any air coming from the dipstick tube or oil fill. So i am assuming that they are in good shape should i replace them anyway because i am ther or run it the way it is?

since you have the hard work done already it would be a mistake to NOT install new rings.go for it,its only an extra 100.00 bucks(INSURANCE)just my opinion though......

Yes ya need to bust the glaze and then wash the p*** out of it a couple of times and blow it dry with air and give it a coat of WD. Ya can do this at home using a ball hone or China berry tree as I call them.

When installing the rings don't use oil on them. Soak a rag with 30W and wring it out. Run it in the cyls and on the skirt.Use an oil can to lube the piston pins, orientate the rings and sock it to it. Use rubber fuel line over the rod bolts to protect the crank from nicks.
