Shorty Headers and Y-pipe

I currenlty have a set of SLP shorty headers that mount to the stock flanges and keep the CAT'S in place. Im looking for a aftermarket Y-pipe that i can use that will mount up to the headers i already have and do away with the CAT'S. Does anyone know where i could find this?

You would probably be better off starting with a new set of headers. The SLP CARB-EO dual-cat header primaries are all twisted and convoluted to keep the drivers side cat in the correct location. Without the cat, you can use better headers.

Otherwise, you will have to find a "no cats high flow" stock Y-pipe replacement.

I have SLP short style headers on 97ss. Jet coated. I have a Random dual cat Y pipe with twin cats. I did a little cutting on the driver side cross pipe & Mig welded, but it was an easy fit. The problem is with the gasket seal on the left side. I modified a 2 1/2" copper flange (from Summit) with 1/8" rivets. It now seals good with a even torque sequence. I used a 3" on the Rt side header gasket flange. I also did a Mufflex 3 1/2" cat-back w/ qtp cut out. It flows good now with a 383ci - D1, and, I have good engine access and ground clearance. I moved the left side O2 sensor down stream for better access. I don't think SLP makes the shorts anymore. HTH. B.
