shorted o2 sensor

shorted o2 sensor

If the wires on a o2 sensor get burned does it stop working if you take then off the header.I have o2 extentions and one landed on the header causeing a short and now that i have repotioned it will i have to replace the o2 or just the extention.

I wouldn't think it would hurt the 02 itself...but you could always scan it to make sure.

As long as the O2 harness did not land on the header as well, you should be okay with just replacing the extension harness.
