Short tube headers: From top or bottom?
Short tube headers: From top or bottom?
Do you drop 'em in from the top or raise 'em in from the bottom? I'm about to start ripping into the car again, so I thought I'd ask.

Both of mine went in from the bottom. I had to remove the rear 2 spark plugs on both sides to get them in.
May I suggest putting masking tape on the outside parts of the headers where it could rub against parts of your car as you are installing them. Saves them from getting all scratched up.

While I apreciate the advice, my headers are used and already scratched up.
Guess I'll go ahead and do them from the bottom and plan on pulling 4 spark plugs.
This job is not nearly as bad as people make it out to be. I soaked the bolts in WD40 first and they are coming out pretty much effortlessly. The entire drivers side is losened, and most of the pass side also. Candy.
Thanks Dan,
Jon
