short belt/AC

My A/C works and I live in East Texas so I am not going to delete it but it is cold now and I would like to run a short belt at the track and when I get it dynoed next week. Is it possible to simply put a shorter belt on a LT1 or is it more involved than that? If so what part number belt?
Zack

p.s. I tried a search and could not find much info

No short belt trick for the LT1.

You can always pull the belt totally off. Should be good for 3 runs or so before battery gets weak. Its worth a .10 or so. Some will say its bad idea blah blah. Ive been doing it for years without issue.
