Shoebox, pushrod help, please

I snapped a comp cams high energy pushrod. My question is what is the GM part # for a 95 pushrod? If I remember right 93-95 had hardened pushrods. At the time I got them I was not as versed as I am now of the ways of the lt1. But hell $45 for a set is not to bad, I have pissed away alot of $ on other dumb s*%#.
Is it possible to just get one pushrod? Should I just get an OEM replacement or get an identical comp. pushrod? I really don't think it will matter as long as it is a hardened pushrod. Thanks.

93-95 are listed as GM PART # 10046173.

96-97 as GM PART # 10241740.

GM PART # 12371041 is for a full set of pushrods , but I don't know if they are hardened. What I don't get is that the kit is ~$20 and the individual pushrods are ~$5.

It's not going to matter if you have a different pushrod as long as it is the same length as the others.

Thanks shoebox. Any one know the length of the stock push rods? The comp cams are 7.195 inches and 5/16 dia.

I just did a search and found the stock length to be 7.2". My question is, is the 7.2 rounded up from 7.195"? If not whould it be ok to have 15 that were 7.195" and one that was 7.2"? I just want to make sure so that I do not snap a pushrod or have any more issuses. Thanks

The difference in length is very minor (0.005") and on a stock setup will be fine. More important, though, is that the pushrod be the correct length for the setup. With the valve closed, the rocker arm should sit to the exhaust side of center on the valve stem. As the valve opens, the rocker should roll past center to the intake side of the valve stem. If this does not happen, you need a pushrod length checker to measure which size is correct.

I was looking at the 10241740 pushrods as well. I see mentioned above that these were factory in the '96-'97 F-body's? I have a '96 T/A LT1, if I have these PR's will they be okay to run with a cc503 cam??? Thanks in advance for any help guys!

Stock Push Rods word fine with a Cam Swap, although it is something that is recommended to be changed.

If you want a response from Shoebox... why not send him a PM, rather than "paging" him in a post?

Thanks for the reply guys. I have the reputation of being able to break a crowbar in a sandbox...so we will see if these pushrods hold up...
