Shoebox a lil help please

alright i have to replace the hose that comes out of the right side of the heater core (if your looking at it from under the hood) b/c it melted against the side of the pass. side header. this hose also has a rubber sleeve that connects it to another metal line, i was wondering if you have the part number or some helpful advice b/c you always seem to! thanks again

GM PART # 10146992 for hose #20. You will have to cut off the swaged collar that clamps it on the metal pipe. You can then secure the new hose on the metal pipe with a hose clamp. Put some heat sleeving/shielding on the hose to keep it from frying again.

I have the parts list for both the Camaro and Firebird as well and shoebox knows this. I think in the future when I need a part number I'll just ask him because it's "easier" and he's so helpful. I'll bet the guy will still look it up for me even knowing that I'm just being lazy hahaha

shoebox... part number King!

A regular hose clamp can be used for #16 (16 is the metal collar that would have to be crimped back on the hose). Autozone might have some heat sleeving or probably a speed shop. It comes in all kinds of varieties so just get something that will provide some protection. The factory hose even has a very short piece of reflective sleeving on it. 10264393 is the GM PART # for it, but it is not very long at all. You would probably want more.

Stupid me, I probably would.

...but I have been thinking of building my own nuclear power plant, so I might be asking you for some part numbers for like turbine generators, fuel rods, radiation suits and stuff like that.

Deal!!! It is easier for me to run a nuclear reactor than it is to hunt through that damn 1000 page reference. LOL!

Yep... half the fun of owning a Camaro is not the Camaro itself but the people you meet because of the Camaro/Firebird. This place has a great group IMO!

Your question is a bit off topic but since it is your thread...

Tomorrow is my Friday so I have Tues off. I'll promise to try HARD to see if I can make them smaller and look good too

Sounds good. But, please use email instead... I really hate PMs... can't keep track of anything, can't save more than a handful of messages, and worst of all, you type out a big long reply and either it is TOO LONG or as soon as you hit reply you get a message along the lines of TOO BAD. USER INBOX IS FULL. So, please, if possible, shoot me an email instead bfranker@tampabay.rr.com
