How do you get the low oil sensor out of the oilpan? What tools are needed or does it just pull out?

Thanks
Mike

I just unscrewed mine with a wrench and pulled it out.

Shoebox isn't the only one on this board that knows stuff about LT1's. Zepher is a good example.

I think I answered this in another post of yours.

Red96Lt1, true.

[edit] There is a flat, rubber gasket on it that seals in on the pan. The inner diameter of the gasket may be very close to the diameter of the inside of the sensor. This will make it feel like the sensor will not come out. As long as you have unscrewed it fully, you should be able to pull it through the gasket, if it stuck to the side of the pan.

Also, if you have the engine out of the car and proceed to remove the oil pan, remove that sensor first.

Wooohoooo, I got that sensor off. Now though, in order to get the oil pan out from the bottom, does the torgue converter have to be moved in order to get it to come down?

Great info, I was just looking at mine yesterday, however....Not to hijack, but mine is leaking real bad around this. I didn't know about the rubber seal. Prob. the seal is shot, causing it do run down the side of the pan and drip right off the drain plug. Anyone have a part number of that gasket/seal.
Thanks
