Shocks or Springs, which is better?

I can either afford to go with some 1" drop springs or some shocks. Hal's would be the way to go but the money isnt there right now?

How are the AGX shocks from KYB?

I don't think you will be disapointed with stock springs and Hal's. I have seen that set up on a '01 SS and it looked great. (The Bogarts didnt hurt either. )

shocks or springs

I think the best advice i can give you is go to this website www.stranoparts.com and use the contact us section to get in touch with sam strano. he helped me pick out a suspension setup that is pretty amazing. any questions you have hell be able to help you with. he will probably convince you to save for a little longer but he got me with the koni adjustable front shocks and bilstein "non revalved" rear shocks and ls1 1.5 and 1.3 lowering springs. like i said its pricy but you can go many different ways. get in touch with him and hell be glad to help you out and probably ask what your trying to achieve..handling or looks because springs without shocks will kill the ride quality... get in touch with him and see what he says, hope it helps good luck

Doesn't Gary have the "SLP" eibach springs on his SS (plus his long tubes). Now sure what kind of clearence difference there is between LT1's and LS1's, but he seems to be doing ok w/ them.

Dave, I think its something like that. BMR is suppossed to have exactly a 1" drop which is the absolute most it could go.

After seeing your dropped I feel like Im driving a 4X4 now!

Ive called you a couple times to cruise and hang but your phone always acts up and starts beeping like nuts.

Are you going to the next meeting?

I say if you only want springs or shocks, go with a set of springs and some SLP take-offs for 40 bucks. Otherwise, go for shocks only but preferably both at the same time. Springs alone will result in a rice-like bounce after a few k.

I have just picked up my 1LE springs and now want some stiff shocks to go with them. I want adjustable so Bilstein is out of the question. I was thinking, KYB AGX, Tokico Illumina, or the KONI Sport (is that the same as the 1LE shocks?). I want the stiffest of the bunch. I want to stop some tire rub in the back (sides of my tires rub the fender lip even though its rolled). I load the backseat up every once in a while and its NOT pleasant. I don't want those rear wheels to move up at all!!
