shim flywheel?

shim flywheel?

do you need to shim the fly wheel? i've had it turned a few times now. if so how much? is their a way to mic the flywheel to see how much was removed?

I don't think you need to shim anything. When they machine the flywheel they only take off like a thousandth or two. The hydraulics should more than make up that kind of distance. Have you noticed the clutch engaging higher each time you have had the flywheel turned?

It might tend to warp easier if enough material has been removed though.

I too would be interested if anyone has a method to mic the flywheel, and had some specs that it is supposed to be within.

the friction point never moved the first two times.
