shift light install on 1994 z

I am installing a autometer shift light on my 94 z and am trying to figure out which wire off the coil is the tach lead. any help would be appreciated. thank you. Prorac1

There should be a white wire going from your coil to the ECM. That is the tach wire. Pin # 13, in the red connector is where it plugs into the computer. Prolly easier to grab it there, than at the coil

I used pink/black at the coil.

I spliced into the wire going to my cluster/stock tach

i ended up using the white with the black tracer by the coil and it worked great. put in a 3000 test module and winged it up to 3000 and the light flashed on. and i figured out that my tach is 100 rpm fast. thank you for all the help guys. thanks again prorac1
