pull your parking brake up as far as it will go, then put the car down into 1st. Needle nose plyers or real small flat head screw driver and gently pry it out. After the staple is taken out the **** will probably still be stuck a little, just bang it a bit and it will come dislodged.

It slides straight up. It may be a little sticky.

Alright, thanks everyone.

My car has gone beyond street comfort, since there is no carpet, HVAC, airbags, seats (except the jaz racing seat). Next step is the console, parking brake and shifter. I'll probably get some sheet metal and weld the hole in the floor closed (what I don't need anyway) and get the megashifter mounter in there and fire extinguisher. Gonna be interesting to see what ths thing weighs when all is said and done... I still have the ABS pump to pull, and the front sway bar. I haven't pulled the bumper core and probably won't. I'm still debating the door panels and reverting back to non-power windows (if it's any lighter).

Hitting the track tonight. Looking for 12s on the stock motor
