shaky idle....

at idle I can feel it shaking a little bit... I've replaced new o2 sensors monday night, smoother but still a stumble or something at idle. have wires with about 15k or less on them and I dont feel they or the 15k plugs are the problem. runs like a beast all out the rpms but at idle shes shaky.... MAP sensor? TPS ? what sensors are left ?

Thank you,
Keith

Mine too! I dont know what else to do. Ive replaced plugs, wires, O2's, coil, cleaned TB, changed fule filter, fuel pump, cleaned IAC and TPS, no cat, so what the hell else could it be. Like you said mine runs fine through out the RPM range its just a stumble every other second at idle.

Hey -- pry the PCV valve out with a screwdriver and shake it. If you hear it rattling, then it's fine. If not, it's clogged and should be replaced.

I know about the PCV, it hasnt been replaced in about 40k so it might be time to just do it anyways.. I'm thinking a new gromet for sure though. no need to pry it out, just pulls right out...

Anyone have the part # for a new rubber gromet? Might as well replace them both at once....

Do you think it could be the map/tps sensors?

wires dont matter their life span, i replaced mine a while back and 40 miles later the bumpy idle returned...

i guess the pullys sucked it up

I have had my car for close to 4 years now and it has always had a very slight shake at idle time to time. Its just like that real slight surge problems have, bunch of cars haveit but no one knows why. If all our cars have it, I dont think its any thing serious.

I can accept the shake at idle, i mean heck, its not a bmw or anything, it is a $20K 350 CI American V8. My car has always had a little shake in the idle, and that has been since 27K miles, and 30K miles later it does it still, maybe a little worse, but that comes with age. I need a tuneup, which is coming soon, and will most certainly smooth it out.

Now the surging is a whole nother monster. Ihave had that for about 4k miles or about a year. That **** P*sses me off. I have greatly reduced it by relocating my IAT. Dont know why, but it did ? It is only a bandaid though. It isnot a thing that since nnumerous cars do it that it should be thought of as normal.
