Shaft mount rockers
I recently pulled a set of shaft mount rockers off of a friends car after the fulcrum came apart on one of the rockers. One of the rockers wasn't tightened down as it should have been and it backed out breaking the fulcrum. I've seen cams with that lift using 1.5-1.6 roller rockers without an issue. Depends on the rpm and aggressiveness of the cam though. You may want the added assurance of shaft mount due to high rpm combined with high lift.
You seem to have built quite a few impressive engines based on the lt1/lt4. I talked to Joe at Jesel this morning and he doesnt seem to be confident that the sportsman series shaft rockers are strong enough to handle nitrous, blower or turbo. He states cylinder pressure on the exhaust valve is excessve and might cause failure on the Sportsman Series.I have 250 shot nitrous and don't want to break the rocker just because I chose the cheaper set. Is he just trying to boost sales of the competion series? or is there credibility to his statement. You have run a few of the sportsman series. Have you had any fail with nitrous or forced induction? I am buying a set and need information before I place my order. Thanks for any help!!!
I'll keep close attention to the longevity of the Jesel Sportsman series.

T&D shaft mounts here. No issues at all. I run a pretty agressive cam close to .700 lift. Ive had to re adjust the valves once after initial break in. Shift the car at 7k and drive it to the track.
