SFC's how will they affect the car?

My BMR tubular sfc's should be in on friday. I was just wondering what kind of change in the handleing i can expect? What changes to the car will be made? Is it pretty noticable? They are the weld in kind also. Thanks.

It'll stiffen it up quite a bit, make it ride rougher but the car will remain tighter for longer...I'd say go for it...

well your ride should be alot better. and when you go over bumps it'll feel better. my friend was driving next to me and said my car was taking the bumps well and the body was looking so rigid when i went over bumps.

It does make it more rigid...but it in NO way feels better, its a hard/harsher ride...thats what they were designed to do...stiffen the car...

You can use the SFC's as a jacking point (use a 2x4)so you dont scratch them.See previous picture ^^^^^^^

Yeah but those are boxed right. I'm getting the tubular. Would i still be able to jack it from those. Because it isn't really a flat surface. Also can they hold the weight if they are tubular?

the tubular ones have flat end plates to weld up

i actually broke a weld on a SFC by using it as a jackpoint. maybe the weld was **** to begin with. took it back, they welded it back up for free

now i use only frame points for jacking points

I have DDs and I have never used them as a jacking point.
I have been fine using the K member and the rear diff for jacking points.
They will stiffen your car alot and the ride will suffer but if you wanted a cadillac I,m sure you would have bought one.

I would say the ride quality is *improved* over stock, not hurt. My car felt like less of a poorly built piece of crap with them installed. Seriously, once you drive with them you'll never want to go back. It'll make you wonder how you ever tolerated it without them.
