SES light, no idle, air intake elbow!
SES light, no idle, air intake elbow!
My car was idling crappy... So I did plugs and wires... I was looking at the intake, and took it off, and low and behold the intake elbow was leaking from two big cracks in two places... Now I cant get it to go back on at all without a HUGE hole in the plastic. I need one now, otherwise the car wont run... Just shuts off... I can get it to run if I remove everything, remove the MAF and unplug all the intake connections and run straight out of the TB, but thats not gonna get me around!
Any suggestions where I can get one ASAP?
PS. Local Dealerships dont have one within 200 miles or so according to my local Chevy Dealership!
Thanks!
Marc

Well, I tried to tape it up already but no matter what it wont create a good seal.... Any other type of material that might work as well?
PS. - I really dont want to spend $100 or whatever unless I really REALLY have to...

You could try ordering one from GMpartsdirect.com, or get a 1LE elbow from any one of the aftermarket companies, and have it express delivered. In the meantime, why dont you get a roll of duct tape and get to work on patching those holes. It may look like crap, but it may work just enough to make the car drivable.
