SES light came on then went off

I was at a stoplight with my 94Z and the SES light came on. It went off after about 2 minutes, and the car sounded fine the whole time. What could this temporary light be caused by? Also, is there a way of checking SES records, or does the light need to be on to scan for codes? Thanks.

Anyone? Is there an SES record that I can check, and what could this be if it's temporary?

Get it scanned.... the code will remain stored in the PCM for a while, even though the SES light has turned off. It will stay there until the engine has experienced a specific number of "drive cycles" without the problem coming back, then clear itself.

My SES light has been on for the last 6 years. Came on and never went off when I installed new clutch.
