Need some advise

Finally ran into a Ls1 I couldnt keep up with, I have 97 Z, A4 hooker longtubes, lt4km, cai. he said he had a lid modified exhaust and a a4, now we went from a stop and he somehow immediatly got up on me, by the end of the race about 110? he had about 3 cars on me. Ive got about 400.00 i think my friend said to grab a tci 3200 stall and that will help, but do you all think i need gears or the stall first because he talked so much **** and i got to get back on top!

That's their 10" Street Fighter with lockup for a 4L60E. It should work for you.

You may want to look into some custom programming to have the shifts firmed up.

How do you hook? Drag radials might be something to look into.

I was thinking someone kept asking me before we raced if i had 3.73s and i kept saying no, so im thinkin the reason he upt so damn quick was probably because he had 3.73s his self and before we went he lit up his tires so they would stick? Whats gonna help out best first here the tq converter or getting 4.10s?

If mods are LTs, CAI and a KM, how would you expect to keep up with an LS1 which comes with around 350+ out of the box?

Just wonderin'.

Because they are not 350 out of the box man, there was link that showed a 2001 Z06 only putting about 325 at the wheels man come on! Their not unbeatable, I would just like to know what would give me a better chance 4.10s or tq converter.

i stand by that statement
its gonna take more then $400 to whoop on an LS1 (without using N2O) especially if hes putting 3 cars on you. wait till you have about 1K then swap in a cam and springs etc. plus the tq converter

and walk him good!

ever heard this....
2 sheep standing at the top of a hill (father and son) looking down at a herd of females, the son whispers to the oldman, "hey pops lets run down there and **** one of those sheep"

the dad looks at his boy with eyes that have walked many miles and says "no son, lets walk down there and **** them all"

No, they aren't unbeatable. Just out of curiosity, what altitude and what kind of dyno was that measured on?
