my ses light keeps going on and off for the past few weeks. i scanned the computer and its the Mass air. any idea what is wrong?? do i have to get a new one or is there something i can try to clean?? also could this hurt anyting becasue i realy don't have the $$ for a new one.

The exact code would help, as noted above. Not necessarily the MAF sensor. The 97's seem to have a problem with the pink wire that supplies +12V to the MAF harness connector. You could pull the connector off, and check for 12V on the pink wire with the key in the "on" position.
