msd 6a question

ok fellas I am going to try to explain this the best I can. My brother has a 93 Z28 with a msd 6a box with the GM wiring harness. I have a 94 Z28 and took his msd box off to try it out on mine but I cant get it to work. I think the problem is in the clips that connect to the coil. I looked at his clips and the gray clip has a red with black stripe and white with black stripe. The black clip has a white and red wire going to it. Ok my car the gray clip has a red with black stripe and a white with black stripe. The black clip only has a red wire going to it. There is no place for the white wire to go so it must have come from the factory like that. I would like to try one out before I buy one but I am lost on this one. If any body could help me out on this one I sure would appreciate it.
thanks
Josh

Re: msd 6a question

Re: msd 6a question

You can find instructions on the MSD website. I don't see how it should be any different from 93-95.

Re: msd 6a question

Hmm... two MSD questions in one day. Anyways, this should help a bit. Just ignore the BTM stuff.
