One part of the manual says that there should be 5v on the yellow wire with the key ON. The diagnostic tree does not show testing that particular lead for 5v, but instead they use a special "signal generator" and attach it to the harness to put a fake signal to the pcm and read it with a scan tool.

That yellow wire travels back to connector "C1" (red), pin 1 on the pcm. Disconnect that connector on the pcm and use your meter to prove the yellow wire is good from the sensor connector to the pcm within the harness.

ok i got the service manuals for my car so i jsut need to get a scan tool now. if u think or hear of anything else let me know. ill tell u what was wrong after i figure it out. thanks for all your help guys

My car is fianly fixed

after 6 days at the dealer they found the problem.

it was the Opti spark
