Service Engine Light Stays On

I received the car i bought today, and the condition is ****. Basically i want to know what could cause the Service Engine Light to stay on after driving the car, and also the Air bag light to stay on.

As for the air bag, check the fuse. if that's not it, start checking where the air bag wiring connects together.

You might want to add a "signature" with info on your car.... year, tranny type, any know/major mods. All of these can affect the answer to a tech question.

Ok, it is a 95 Trans am with automatic transmission and performance **** button option. The service engine light comes on after the engine has warmed up to about 180 degrees.

Also when the engine reaches 180 degrees the fan kicks on, Is this normal?

Thanks

The fans come on when the SES comes on. It is programmed to do that. You need a scan to find out what code(s) you have. AZ won't scan it because it is not OBD-II.

Well,
I scanned the codes and the following came up:
29, 32, 64. I believe i fixed 29 because the fuse was blown up. As for 32 (EGR valve), and 64 (right o2 sensor reading lean. I am not sure. I cant drive the car right now because all 4 rotors are rusted through (Didnt know about this when i bought it) but i believe the service engine light periodically goes on and then off as the engine goes into an open and closed loop.

Any ideas?

Also the air bag light stays on and i checked the fuse and it is good, but where would the wiring for the air bag be?

Thanks

Justin
