serpentine belt (help please, quick)

I have had my heads rebuilt with my timing belt changed and with everything put back on te car in running rough. However the sependine belt is not on it. The guy I am working with works with old cars so I think he thinks that blt is not a necessity. How will lt1's run without the belt?

If your battery is weak your engine will run like crap since the alternator is not running.

The serpantine belt being off probably has nothing to do with the car running rough, HOWEVER it is stil very necessary to have as you need to to spin the alternator, power steering and A/C. The water pump is fortunately direct driven.
