I've had both .. Got rid of my CC306 for the 230/236 on a 110lsa.. but w/ .597/.607 lift... new valves, springs, tit. retainers and 10* lock accompanied it. As well as a rev kit. So here in the next few days I'll get it back on the dyno for a pull... just to see where I should shift at. Compared it to the CC306 of course .

Yeah they are great cams but I'd recommend the Hydra Rev kit for them aswell, as for valve springs & cracked valve, keep a low low on the lift too high spring pressures for these cams I heard isn't good especially for the smaller XE grinds, fergot how it goes I'll find out.

basicly, with XE grinds its critical that your install height is set properly & springs pressure/rate is proper or bye bye.

I like the 230/236 on 114LSA. Unfortuntaely I feel the cam doent have much below 3k, but it could be a function of my home ported heads. My numbers are in the sig with basically stock heads that I butchered. Peak torque is high.

I have an XE 230/236.

I love the power and drivability.

I know two guys that have the cc306. They love the sound but one guy hates driving his car as a daily driver because it stalls in traffic sometimes. The other guy wishes he had more bottom end power.
