Security Light on car wont start

After a lot of mods done i took the radio out of the car. I went to start it for the first time and all the lights came on including the secruity light. The car blew a fuse and now will not start. Any way to get rid of the radio and not have the security light on?

The security light is probably from the chip in your key. If it doesn't read the key correctly, the car won't start. What did you do that you blew a fuse? Which one? Give more information, and someone might be able to help you.

My stereo got stolen and the light never came on. My security comes on from time to time just b/c of the PassKey chip. I wait a couple minutes and it goes off.

I experianced this problem. It turned out to be one of the security harness wires that is attached to the ignition lock cylinder had fatigued and broke connection. I had to take my key to the dealer and purchase a new lock cylinder with security harness and have a new key made for the new lock that had the proper resistor for my car.

It was the PCM inG fuse. I recently took out the airbags in the car and put a new steering wheel on it. I removed the radio also so there are a lot of things unplugged down there. The key is the correct key. The wire that ran to the driver airbag was cut to remove the hub i dont think i touched the ing wire its the orange one not the yellow one. Is there something i should look for to be plugged up and do i have to reset the system now that the security system has been engaged? this crap really pisses me off.

Anyone know what the Anti Theft relay looks like. I found the black box with the green plug it looks fine but i cannot find the relay. What colors are teh wires in the relay? could this be the problem keeping the Security light on all the time and causing the car to do nothing?

More descriptive explanation about this problem:

I recently put a T/A dash in my Z. When doing so i took out the A/C, Heater, Airbags driver and passenger and the radio. There are a lot of things unpluged no down there but i know for sure the VATS module is plugged up (black box green plug).

The problem is when i connected the battery the security light was on along with every light that could light on the instrument cluster. so i turned the key fans work lights work (plugged the radio in again it worked) but when i went to start the car the PCM fuse blew.

The fuel pump never came on and the starter never engaged and the security light stays on. the Key seems fine chip is not dirty and the security light is on before i even put in the key.

Anyone know what i should check to get this thing to start? I also cant seem to find the VATS relay what do the wires look like going into it?

Also every time i try to turn the key to the start position it blows the PCM fuse.

I'm stumped about this one...where in Charlotte do you live? I live in Indian Trial which is about 5 minutes from Charlotte. Maybe I can grab a couple of friends and we can work this thing out.

In one of your last posts...did u say that u cut the yellow one? or are you saying that you cut the orange one...the yellow wire is the 2-way SIR connection (you probably already know this)...
