Search results 0 - Catted y for pacesetters?

I did a search already and have found nothing. I'm looking to buy LTs very soon. I understand that engine bay heat is a factor with LT1s so i want to go with coated correct? I found pacesetters for a good price but they don't seem to offer a catted y for a '95 (or any LT1). Does anyone know where i can get a catted y for these headers? If not, does anyone know of another, somewhat cheap, set of long tubes that come coated with emissions and has an optional catted y?

Thanks!

No one makes a catted Y setup for longtubes any more. You could try and find a FLP setup, they used to make them but heard they are out of production. They were $$$$ and had crappy clearences all around.

You could take the car and have one custom made however.

But technically speaking all longtubes are emissions illegal because they will move the location of the cat regaurdless of AIR and EGR fittings. Passing e-check is going to depend on how stringent your states testing is

atljar - Didn't know that. I thought Kooks made a catted y? You are right about being illegal by moving the cat, however, I havn't seen them do a visual check around here. I still need the cats to pass the sniffer though, otherwise i would run ORY.

396D1SS - 2 cats? My '95 is only a single cat setup. Are you saying get 2 cats custom fabbed to a y? Or is it just a mistake?

You won't find a catted ypipe for OBD1. You'll have to buy the or-ypipe and put a cat on it yourself (buy it seperately).

On another note, i have a set of new Pacesetter LTs coated and with all the emission attachments that i need to sell. They are still in the box and have the installation equipment (bolts and O2 relocation kit). You need to supply your own gaskets and ypipe (i don't have this). PM me if interested.

I havent heard about kooks having a catted Y pipe, not saying it doesnt exist though.

Yes you will need to run two cats even though your car is a single cat car. Just really no place to put one cat far enough back with LT headers so you put two up front and then merge into one pipe.

Blind...Thats the standard pacesetter Y, not a bad piece at all for the price. Mine rubbed a little but i pounded it in with a hammer which fixed that issue. Cant go wrong for the price

Cool, but are we sure thats for Kooks headers and not a stock Y replacement?

I just ask because the other Y pipe listed says for Kooks header, and the cat Y pipe doesnt say that.

EDIT: They are based on the same part number so i guess it would work. Cool
