Does anyone know the model number for the Scorpion 1.6's for our cars.

Dont know the model # but thought id share an experience with them, buddy of mine has them and one of them fell apart, not an extreme motor either, the trunion bearing just fell apart leaving all the needles in the engine somewhere.

I wouldn't use anything but Comp or Crane for cheap stuff, or move up to Crowers etc..

i've only seen people talk about scorpion in refference to their 1.7 rr's.

Agreed! Why take chances on odd ball name products. Frankly, I'm not in the market for budget priced, possibly cheaply made critical components. Why take a chance?

THe Scorpions aren't cheap. They run about $220.00 for a set.

Exactly, they arent cheap, if they were $100 a set and you were on a budget, sure go for it, but why pay $20 less for a product that isnt as well known for being 100% reliable like compcams? Plus the scorpion are larger (heavier) than CCs I believe. The only "oddball" name I would trust in rockers is Harland Sharpe, since they basically invented the roller rocker I believe.
