car runing hot today any suggestions

My car seemed to be running hotter than normal today when i shut it off i saw it was above 210 i just installed my slp cai before i went out but i dont think that could be the problem is this normall or is there something i should check

Check your coolant level, if its not full, look for a leak somewhere. Get a 160* stat also.

have you changed the coolant recentley? try bleeding the system there may be air in the coolant system.

the coolant was changed less than a year ago and i barely drive it because i only have my permit and how would i bleed the system exatcly.

these two bleeder screws open them when the car is running if no coolant comes out, you have air in the system. wait till you see coolant comming out when you do close them and check coolant level (dont get optispark wet)

i did the bleeder screw thing and there was a little air but not much but when i was closing the one nearest to the intake elbow the top of the screw broke right off and i wasnt using any type of force but it just popped off luckily it was closed enough and nothing is coming out or anything but in the future I will need to replace that is that something i could do my self or would i have to go to the garage because the whole valve needs to be replaced because there is no way to get the rest of the screw out.

you could try and do it your self (i have never done so) but i would replace the whole hose with the valve.
