Scanned today, Have questions.

Alright I got a scanner today cause I'm tired of not knowing whats going on in there. I got codes P0026 (intake valve bank 1 control solenoid CTK range/perf) P0027 (exhaust valve bank 1 control solenoid CTK range/perf) P0029 (exhaust valve bank 2 control solenoid CTK range/perf) P0032 (HO2S bank 1 sen 1 heater circuit high) and finally P0077 (intake valve bank 1 control circuit high) Now I was wondering what any of this meant? I don't know if any of this has to do with my fan fuse blowing every 5 min or not, PLEASE someone HELP! Thanks

Well I just checked shoebox's website and found the REAL code meanings which make alot more sense since I don't have AIR or EGR...I was wondering wtf was wrong with my intake valve solenoid? wtf is that? The scanner works great but the software sucks.

You're a little confused on the trouble code notation..... "Pxxxx" is OBD-II format. You appear to have:

DTC 26 Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister purge solenoid valve circuit
DTC 27 Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) vacuum control signal solenoid valve circuit
DTC 29 Secondary Air Injection (AIR) pump circuit
DTC 32 Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR)
DTC 77 Cooling fan relay control circuit

Which you already found out from Shoebox's website are as noted above.

Evaporative Emission canister purge solenoid (I don't see any "intake valve solenoid" on Shoebox's list - where did you get that from?????) is on the bracket on the passenger side of the intake manifold. Is yours still connected? Or did that get hacked out when you pulled the other emissions equipment?

And, do you have a switch to control your fans either manually, or an "add-on" temp sensor/fan switch?

Re: Scanned today, Have questions.

Well when I looked up the codes with the software that came with the scanner those are the explinations I got...which sounded weird to me. There IS a fan switch wired but not connected, would that affect anything? It does have a 160 thermo as well. Shoebox was saying the fuse that keeps blowing controls the evap, o2s, skip shift and something else...so you think the evap id the problem or just the fan relay code? Is it possible I'm getting the fan relay code since the fuse is blown in there?

Re: Scanned today, Have questions.

According to the 1995 wiring diagram on Shoebox's website, all those items come off the same fuse. You need to track down why that fuse is blowing..... could be a short in any one of the loads supplied from fuse #6 in the underhood box.

Re: Scanned today, Have questions.

Well I just checked and do have the EVAP purge solenoid connected. I'm guessing its bad or the fan relay is bad. Hopefully its something that simple. Any more ideas Injuneer?

Re: Scanned today, Have questions.

You've got to check ALL the wires to ALL the devices fed off that fuse. Go to the wiring diagrams, make a list of verything that comes off #6, and start looking for a short.

Re: Scanned today, Have questions.

If I go buy the purge solenoid and the relays would it fix the problem or is it more likely a wire short?

Re: Scanned today, Have questions.

Ok did some more research...replaced all 3 fan relays and drove watching the scanner. As soon as the fan relays come on the fuse blows. Its giving me code 26 (evap purge solenoid) and 77 (fan circuit) when this happens. So I'm guessing the EVAP purge solenoid would be the best bet to replace and hopefully solve the problem?
