Post Scanmaster worth the money?

I keep looking at this thing with my finger on the buy button but I just can't see dropping $250+ on something so small? I mean what kinda uses can this thing have besides just reading codes and stats?

Re: Scanmaster worth the money?

Id find a cheap laptop and go with TTS Datamaster software for scanner that is infinitely better than the scanmaster. I bought scanmaster a few years ago and while its kinda cool to have it really serves me no purpose now that I have Datamaster. Hell its more of a conversation piece for when people want a ride in my car.. at least thats the only time I ever use it anymore Whats funny is hearing comments from ppl who know nothing about cars... comments like is that for your NAWWS!? Maybe I really should just get rid of it

Reminds of the 1993 probe gt i had a few years ago. I made a little circuit bypass for the intake air control module or something and had a red button to open and close the circuit mounted right beside my shifter. Opening the circuit actually allowed to gain .8 seconds on the quarter mile. However, people thought it was for nitrous. The cops did too. I had a cop search my entire car for nitrous because of that damn button. I finally said **** it and just ripped the button off and tied the wires together and just untied them whenever i wanted.
