Question Scanmaster readings

Ok, took car for first time since last Oct and let here rip what w/ 48tb back on and MADZ tune.My 02 reading mv were 824 and KR was 4.3 and blk learn L/R were diff. by 7-8.Things of note were i still have last yrs. fuel and my MAFT translator was set 0(straight up,stk),TPS volts@idle were 0.70.I was getting KR all of last year and when i store car i only have1/4 tank or less so i wonder if the fact it sits long time w/o use and then low use in summer causes the injector,s to be restricted of fuel! Last year i had stk tune and when i would set my MAFT to 2% rich the KR would almost go away and when i set it 2% lean i got12KR.One last ? do i need the MAFT anymore now that the tune has leaned the car out All reply,s helpful esp. GTP 2000, SHOEBOX,INJUNEER. THANKS

My 02 reading mv were 824

What reading was 824mV, when, under what conditions? Was it the recalled lowest mV from a single pass?

and KR was 4.3

Again, when? All the time, some of the time, or when you recalled the data for the pass? If it was the recall value, does the MPH that can be recalled with the peak knock retard indicate the retard happened at the shift points?

and blk learn L/R were diff. by 7-8.

Under what conditions and in which Cells?

TPS volts@idle were 0.70.

As long as its between 0.20-0.90V its fine.

I was getting KR all of last year and when i store car i only have1/4 tank or less so i wonder if the fact it sits long time w/o use and then low use in summer causes the injector,s to be restricted of fuel! Last year i had stk tune and when i would set my MAFT to 2% rich the KR would almost go away and when i set it 2% lean i got12KR.

Can't really follow that one.... You're asking if stale fuel can cause problem?? = yes. Your asking if maybe the injectors are clogged from the stale fuel and letting it sit for a long period of time??? = possibly.

One last ? do i need the MAFT anymore now that the tune has leaned the car out

Since the purpose of getting a tune is to get the timing and A/F ratio right, why would you need to further adjust those with the MAFT? If your tune isn't right, give the tuner your data and ask him to fix the tune. A dyno tune may be better than a mail-order tune if your combo is complex.

update

The first 4 observations were from a single pass and i didn,t check @what mph the KR/02 reading occurred.Today i just ran the car @idle in park and in the yard and observed the following:lp and rp were 1.7,maf 9 then 8,lblk l128 r blk 128 and then 136 left and 128 right(after it ran awhile),cel 16,lin 128,r 124-126,iac 17-16 then 6-7 after it ran awhile.Since the left blk learn was 136(8 diff than right)i looked @ the left side of engine and noticed the exhaust manifoldgasket had a v looking shape to it and never really paid much attention to it before, then realized this could possibly be my problem!Hope this update helps and any others w/similiar symptons, ideas please chime in.

Idling or goosing the throttle sitting in the driveway isn't going to tell you much. Quoting the "integrators" means little, if anything. They are constantly changing, intentionally swinging above and below 128 to make the catalytic converter work. And since each bank is controlled independantly, they won't be the same on both sides. Cell 16 is useful because its the "idle" cell. 17 and 18 are mathematically derived form the other 16 cells, so they aren't too valuable as a diagnostic. But when your car is sitting still, 16, 17, and 18 are the only cells it will use. You need to get the actual BLM's for as many of the cells in the 01-15 range as you can.

The 824 minimum mV's on the O2 sensors MAY indicate its running lean under load. It would have been usefull to recall the MPH for the mV's and the knock retard to see if they were both recorded at the same MPH. That would provide some corroborating evidence that its too lean and causing knock/retard.
