stock LT1 internally balanced??
#3
You can use a stock flywheel, but you definately need to take it to a machine shop and get it zero balanced.
The stock LT1 is internally balanced in the front, hence using dampner instead of a balancer and externally balanced in the rear via flywheel.
If your entire rotating assy. is internally balanced then yes you will have to either buy or have the stock flywheel zero balanced.
If you aren't sure how the assy. is balanced you better call your machine shop.
