Re: Scan Tools

If you have a laptop I'd recommend this -> http://www.obd-2.com/ I've been using it for several years and now and it has been great.

Re: Scan Tools

http://www.obd-2.com or http://www.efilive.com

OBD-2 will scan just about anything (any manufacturer, any engine) from '96 on and can log every possible parameter. It just isn't real pretty from a graphical standpoint. You can use it on any car.

EFILive (version 5) will log all the standard SAE functions for the LT1 but is really geared for the LS1 and later. You can program it so it will find the LT1 specific stuff but it takes some effort. It does, however, graph the functions beautifully so they are very easy to see.

I use both. OBD-2 for the really specific LT1 stuff and EFILive for the general SAE items.

Re: Scan Tools

Just e-mail the guy and tell him your situation. He'll let you know what you need.

I ordered mine several years ago and got the "reads everything" combination at the time. His selection has increased a bit from then. But pricewise, you can't beat his stuff.
