It does ALOT!!! I have one and i would die without it.... Displays trouble codes so you can fix your car YOURSELF instead of paying a place to charge you 60 bucks to scan it..... Its already paid itself off..... Plus you can check your 02 readings and see if your car is running rich and lean......ATS (air temperature sensor), Coolant temperature, battery volatage, etc. etc...... If you ask me if its worth it than my answer is an emphatical.....YES!
