Is this safe?

I am gathering all the parts I need for my cam swap and one of the few things I have left to get is a heavy duty timing set. Buying one brand new from cmotorsports.com is 280. I found this one on ebay but I am unsure. I really dont want anything to happen to my engine...like the chain snapping...cause that would really really blow. So my question is, has anyone used this timing set before or does anyone know about the reputation or company that is selling this. Thank you.

looks stock to me. are you really going to need a hd or a double roller for your application? If not a stock chain will work. If you need the hd then i wouldnt try to cut corners.

Not sure what he is selling. Where is the water pump drive gear? If you are going to use an electric WP, then you use any SBC timing set. If you are keeping the mechanical WP, you need a timing set with a WP drive gear.

Well I decided not to get that obviously because it isnt what I wanted. But now I have another question. How radical does a setup need to be to get the Heavy Duty Timing set? I was wanting to do it just for extra safety when I do my cam instal. Do you think that is necassary?

yes get a better chain, you won't ever regret it. I'd get an Extreme duty chain, i think they can be had for about $200 from Jason Cromer.
