My buddy will be purchasing a z28 with a brand new 396 in it and will be tuning the car on the dyno very shortly. Here is a short run down of the mods...

The intake is currently only ported to fit the 58mm TB, should we pull the intake off and do some porting or will the stock intake be fine? I would think this setup should yield 420 rwhp and similar torque with a dyno tune. He may swap the heads to some afrs and change out the cam in the near future to get some more power out of it. Let me know what you guys think.

 

When you consider that a good port vs a not so good one can be worth 20hp or more, these guessing games just aren't much fun. I like my odds in blackjack better.

I'm going to be generous and guess anywhere from 375-425rwhp.
