SA vs NSA with Cam

I am looking at doing a cam (306) and already have 1.6 SA RRs and was wondering if I can use them. I have seached the site and don't have a definitive answer. Most people say to switch to NSA and guide plates but I would rather not loose my investment in the rockers I already have.

So, can I safely get away with using SA rockers and a cam? And if so, which springs can I run with the SA rockers?

Thanks!

I am going to use my SA's with my LE heads and cam when I get it together. I did a search and found that the consensus was if you arent going too much over 6500 you should be o.k.
I am using PAC 1281 springs.

I also thought you could run guide plates with SA rockers? Maybe somone will chime in. I thought I heard of this a few years ago on this board.

I run NSA's people say they are overkill for most of us running under 6500 but i like the added stability and makes me feel better when running the car. plus my SA pro-mags were noisy, much noisier that my NSA

So what exactly do I need spring, lock, retainer, and locater wise? P/Ns would be helpful.
And where is the best place to get them? Should I replace seals? If so which seals? I don't know alot about this particular area so any help would be apreciated.

Now I am considering refreshing the heads. Which brings more questions. Should I replace the valves? Do I need to do a valve job or can I get away with lapping? If I do replace the valves, should I go with a Pro Flo type with the undercut head for more flow? Is that worth the money? My heads have about 70k miles on them. Should I have them milled and if so how much? How much does it cost to have a set of heads cleaned and milled? I can do the assembly myself. Any issues running the Crane spring kit from Summit?

What it comes down to is that I am on a very tight budget but I want to make sure that I am doing things right.

Thanks.
