What should me next mods be?
What should me next mods be?
Last weekend i picked up my 95 z28 M6 Camaro with 115k on it for $2700
. It has edelbrock shorties, magnaflow catback, centerforce clutch and hurst comp plus short throw. I have about $700 to play with. First i am getting a CAI and ditching the stock airbox but what after that? I want to do a cam swao but should i upgrade to LT's and an o/r Y first or just do that after. I should free up a decent amount of ponies by switching to LT's right?

I say CAI, then pick up USED long tubes on the message board here in the for sale section. Inless the car is in immaculate shape, I would take no shame in putting used headers on. I bought new coated pacesetters, and the coating all flakes off after a couple years anyways ... Its not like your showing off your headers, you can barely see them under the hood anyways. Buy used Pacesetter, Hooker, or Jet Hot long tubes, or ASM Mids, an ORY, and possibly a cut out to bypass the magnaflow. Then you'd be good to go.
Buy the cam new though. Anything internal, other than maybe rocker arms and pushrods, I would buy new.

I agree with the above. You will probably see a gain going LTs over shorties, purchasing them used is a safe bet. Same thing for the CAI. If you have 700 bucks to spend, it is going to go fast and probably won't cover both the cold air intake and headers/off-road y-pipe.
